With a few weeks left in the year, EnVi has the final songs you should be adding to your playlist to keep the holiday cheer alive. Whether you’re getting ready to see friends and family or gearing up to count down the New Year, this week’s playlist has you covered.
GALE, Abraham Mateo – “No Quería Quererte”
Puerto Rican powerhouse Gale is back with her new collaborative release, “No Quería Quererte,” featuring Abraham Mateo. The song’s upbeat, energetic sound contrasts with its lyrics, which tell the story of a couple who weren’t supposed to fall for each other; the dance-ready production distracts from the vulnerability beneath. Soft synths and a catchy hook highlight emotional lines such as, “Que nada es pa’ siempre, eso ya lo sabía, pero, niña, lo nuestro se queda pa’ toda la vida,” meaning that even though nothing lasts forever, what they share will last a lifetime. Bittersweet in nature, the song explores the tension between resisting and surrendering to love.
Alongside this collaboration, Gale also released her sophomore album, Lo Que Puede Pasar, a continuation of her debut album, Lo Que No Te Dije. The album represents everything that comes next. The 13-track project includes her new single “Perspectiva,” and, together with the rest of the tracklist, captures the endless possibilities that love and relationships can bring into someone’s life.
James Alyn, PREP – “Don’t Worry”
Thai soloist James Alyn and London-based band PREP take us on a jazzy journey with their latest collaboration “Don’t Worry.” A soft blend of pop and funk, layered with electric guitar, the track was initially brought to life while James Alyn was opening for the band in Taipei. Completed a year later, the song was inspired by a tender encounter with a fan. Drawing from that touching moment, “Don’t Worry” serves as a reminder that everything will turn out just right; that someone will always be by your side. With lyrics such as “Don’t worry about it, in darkness there is light” and “Leave your sorrows all behind, pretty please, I’ll meet you on the other side,” the song offers hope during troubling times.
The composition is what truly ties the sense of calm together. Solo sax moments, smooth electric bass, and perfectly pitched vocals create an atmosphere of reassurance, reinforcing the message that even when darkness seems to be winning, light will always be waiting at the end of the tunnel.
WayV – “Eternal White”
WayV are back with their first winter special album, Eternal White, and it’s a shimmering hit! The title track, sharing the album’s name, is a pulsating dance-pop banger with rhythmic sax riffs and energetic drum beats. It’s a song about savoring fleeting moments before moving forward in life. The track’s carried by the group’s powerful, emotive vocals and rap lines that make you want to move. With lyrics such as “Even in the darkest night, we’re still standing” and “We ain’t fading in snow / Through a slow-shutter lens / We glide past a sky full of stars,” the song reflects both the warmth of nostalgia and the thrill of just living in the moment. Softer than some of their previous title tracks, “Eternal White” is no less impactful and shows off WayV at the top of their game.
FLO – “Recently Deleted”
Following a groundbreaking Grammy nomination with their debut album, FLO’s dropping a few more gifts for us this holiday season. On Friday, the British girl group surprised fans by releasing four new songs to the deluxe version of their debut album, Access All Areas: Unlocked. “Recently Deleted” is a perfect reminder to us that your authenticity can never be copied, no matter how much others secretly wish they could. The R&B track features a guitar synth mixed with witty verses playing on their presence still lingering in their ex’s camera roll. Within the chorus, lyrics like “I’m still sittin’ in your recently deleted / That’s the only way you’ll see me” give listeners a necessary confidence boost to move on from the past and only go after what they deserve.
brynne – “postscript”
brynne is back, but at the same time, he’s gone again, preparing to move into a new era. Documenting the end of this one, he’s released three new songs: “not quite love,” “at the end of the day,” and “postscript.” The shortest of all three is “postscript,” though it possibly packs the most emotion in and has been placed last amongst the releases. The song carries a true brynne sound with echoing effects, a steady guitar, and contemplative lyrics.
On Instagram, the artist said, “As the year ends, so does this chapter. In an attempt to say everything, I think I’m at a place where at least I don’t feel trapped in my own words.” The caption of the post and the song itself both reflect the growth that the artist has made internally since the release of his debut album, all the words i could’ve said. Earlier this year, brynne told EnVi that he strived to live a life where he doesn’t hold back his thoughts and feelings anymore, and to our delight, it sounds like with “postscript,” he is almost there.
Allegra Jordyn, Ellise – “Whiplash”
This dangerous femme fatale duo is here to give you “Whiplash,” and we won’t blame you for giving in to this temptation. Combining forces, Allegra Jordyn and Ellise are both known for fully owning their dark-pop genre and released “Whiplash” to the surprise of fans, hinting at the song only two weeks before its release. Both singers tend to tease their listeners with seductive and sweet lyrics, and with the two in one song, this is only amplified.
Allegra Jordyn introduces the complication early on in the song, singing, “You say forever / Then change your mind / And I can’t see straight.” During the chorus, the listener hears that the pair in the relationship keep coming back together, though they know how it will end. “Whiplash” holds an intoxicating tempo and deeply alluring lyrics, perfect for those looking to lean into their dark side this season.

Emei – “Ginger Tea”
Grief is an emotion simple words couldn’t quite capture entirely. So, along the lines of longing and despair, Emei found a way to translate the loss of her grandmother through music and memories. “I wonder what it would be like to hear your advice,” she laments, “To feel your proud eyes when I make the recipe right / When I find my person for life” — things familiar to Chinese households. It all floats over ambient synths and an acoustic guitar line that leaves the music feeling cavernous, much like one’s headspace would be while processing the heavy affliction of losing a loved one.
Beyond aforementioned nods to her heritage in her lyrics, the release of “Ginger Tea” is paired with a midtempo, balladic, bedroom pop update to Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng’s seminal folk song “甜蜜蜜” (Tian Mi Mi, literally “sweet honey”). Emei adds her own subtitle to the song, “Your Sweet Smile,” and shifts the romantic tone of the original into a yearning of her grandmother’s familiar presence, warmth, and smile, which she can now only access through her dreams.
Sorn, MINNIE – “Reservations”
The crossover between Thai artists and K-pop labels isn’t a novel concept, but i-dle’s MINNIE and ex-CLC member Sorn — both managed under Cube — continue to prove why it works. They join forces for “Reservations,” a prelude to Sorn’s upcoming debut solo album that sees the duo pouring their hearts out over an all-American boy-induced heartbreak over an easy-listening, moody soft pop sound.
Co-written with rising star Keenan Te, Sorn contemplates on a two-year situationship she described as “an almost relationship… close enough to feel real, but never close enough to actually be one.” Assisted by MINNIE’s vocals that melt beautifully with her own, she calls this unnamed L.A. boy out through lyrics that feel general enough to be relatable without losing her personal grip on her own story.

Andre Lawrence – “September, November”
It may be the middle of December, but Andre Lawrence is rewinding the calendar and bringing us back into autumn with his new release, “September, November,” fresh from his new album, Corduroy. This new track is accompanied by a cinematic music video that moves through amber-toned scenes of New York City and natural landscape, placing Andre at the center of the journey. Each shifting climate mirrors the track’s hazy, introspective vibe, capturing the in-between feeling of young adulthood caught between seasons and states of mind.
Lyrically, “September, November” explores how Andre wrestles with accountability while being so wrapped up in his own thoughts. There’s a strong sense of hindsight and self-awareness as he reflects on the impact of his actions, realizing the consequences of being so wrapped up in his head only after the damage has been done. The slow, grooving topline and the heavy drumbeats create a dreamy atmosphere that pulls you into the wistfulness of his confessions. “September, November” is just one piece of Corduroy, where Andre Lawrence delves deeper into the album’s overarching themes of self-discovery, growing pains, and the turbulence of young adulthood.
Jeima – “16.45”
Debuting her first new single, Indonesian rising sensation Jeima sets a wave of positive energy heading into 2026. “16.45” is inspired by the atmosphere of 4:45 p.m. the moment just before golden hour that many overlook, yet is equally as beautiful and meaningful as 6 p.m. Conveying warmth and romance, the song draws from jazz and classical influences, with Jeima’s soothing vocals narrating a love story about how time seems to fly when two people are together, feeling like “16.45.” In press statements, Jeima shared that the song aims to break stereotypes of jazz as mere background music; instead, she wants listeners to recognize it as a genre that brings joy and deserves appreciation.
With soft cymbal hits, gentle drums, and warm bass lines, the track produced by Esmond with Aldo Zulham Ertanto as co-producer, feels like watching the sun set while strolling through one of the world’s busiest cities. As the new year approaches, Jeima is set to release more music, continuing to explore and blend classical-infused jazz elements.
